The deadline for candidates applications to 17. Polish Prize of Sérgio Vieira de Mello, UN High Comissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) has been extended

We would like to inform that due to great interest the deadline for candidates applications to 17. Polish Prize of Sérgio Vieira de Mello, UN High Comissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) has been extended. We are waiting for applications until September 20, 2020.

 

For the 17th time at Villa Decius Association, Polish Prize of Sérgio Vieira de Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) will be awarded. We invite you to send nominations of your candidates in two categories: Person or Organizations, that work in an outstanding way to bring cultures and societies closer, promote human rights, democracy and tolerance.

 

The submissions of candidates for the Prize start on August 28, 2020 until September 20, 2020. The meeting of the Panel of Judges selecting laureats will be held in mid-October this year.

The announcement of the results and the award ceremony will take place on December 10, 2020. The award has been granted by the Villa Decius Association continuously for 16 years. The laureats are the greatest personalities and the most important organizations working persistently to disseminate and implement such ideas as: peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect.
