Mario Kaiser wins the Kurt Tucholsky Award

It is our great pleasure to announce that Mario Kaiser – this year’s participant of the Creative Fellowships programme has been granted the prestigious Kurt Tucholsky award in the editorial commentary category. The awards gala was held on 20 October in Berlin. Mario Kaiser was born in 1970 in Rheydt. He studied American and political studies at the University of Bonn. He has worked as a news reported and editor of such German weeklies as Die Zeit and Der Spiegel. His articles have also been published in Süddeutsche Zeitung, brand eins and Geo. During his three-month fellowship in Krakow he is working on his literary project based on his grandparents’ history.
