Deadline for the applications: 30.06.2011
Following the initiative of the Villa Decius Association, the Polish Prize of Sergio Vieira de Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) was established in the year 2003 with an aim to promote human rights, democracy and tolerance and had its First Edition already in 2004.
The permission to establish the award was granted by Sergio’s mother, Gilda Vieira de Mello. The Prize is awarded to individuals and NGOs for their special merits in peaceful coexistence and cooperation of communities, religions and cultures.
You are kindly requested to submit your nominations by 30th June 2011.
The ceremony of awarding the Prize will take place on 13th October 2011, during an international conference Borderless People at Villa Decius in Krakow.
