Wolfgang Bittner , born in 1941 in Gliwice, lives in Cologne. Winner of many literary prizes, Bittner has published over 40 books for adult readers, children and teenagers. His novel Niemandsland ("No Man's Land") has recently been translated into Polish ("Ziemia niczyja", Wrocław 2002).

Radek Knapp , born in 1964 in Warsaw, has lived in Vienna since 1976. In 1994, he received the "aspekte" literary prize for his collection of stories entitled Franio . The Polish translation of his novel Herrn Kukas Empfehlungen (München/Zürich 1999) was published in autumn 2003.

Leander Scholz , born in 1969 in Aachen, studied philosophy and literature in Bonn and Paris. Poet and prose writer. His debut was the novel Rosenfest published by Hanser Verlag in 2001.

Bernd Wagner , born in 1948 in Wurzen (Saxony). Prose writer and poet, author of books for children. The co-founder of the Mikado periodical. Novels: Paradies, Berlin 1997; Club Orlomow , Berlin 1999; Wie ich nach Chihuahua kam , Göttingen 2003.
