The project Villa - Art - World aims at extending the cycle Villa - Country - Europe, which presents the culture of European countries, with regard to selected aspects of non-European cultural heritage. The central idea of all meetings is to present the cultural property of the given nation or region in all its richness, versatility and complexity - both from the perspective of the dialogue between tradition and avant-garde and the dialogue with other cultures of the world. The cultural events at the Villa Decius include various offers: lectures, art exhibitions, films, slideshows, concerts of ancient and modern music, theatre and dance performances, degustation of regional specialties. The aim of all events is to gain a deep insight into the culture and to get rid of stereotype simplifications in an atmosphere of mutual participation. Hosts of the meetings are also diplomats representing the countries to which the meetings are dedicated. The programme is addressed to an open public.
