Villa - Art - World. Encounter with Catalunyan culture

[2009-03-24] Villa Decius Association, Cervantes Institute in Krakow, Ramon Llull Institute and Erakis Foundation invite you to an encounter with Catalunyan culture, held as part of the Literary Festival „Book and roses”. The meeting starts with an opening of an exhibition of posters by Manuel Boix, Spanish painter, sculptor, graphic and poster designer.

Afterwards, an art historian Barbara Kokoska Ph.D is going to present the figure and works of Antonio Gaudi, and then Anna Sawicka Ph.D. from the Institute of Roman Philology of the Jagiellonian University is to give a lecture about catalunyan culture. During the meeting, videos regarding Catalunya, Valencia and the Balearic Islands are going to be presented, as well as a jazz concert of  Jordi Matas (guitar) and Joe Smith (piano, guitra) duo is due to take place. The meeting is going to finish up with a panel discussion “Identity and boundaries in poetry” with the poets Sebastiá Alzamora and Lluis Calvo (Catalunya), Ignacio Escuín and Jordi Doce (Spain) and Edward Pasewicza (Poland) taking part.
